R&D: PRECIOUSSS PRESENTS / REGALI CHE SONO TESSSORI

    We come back after a period of intense work for R, who hasn't left a minute free for our hobby. Even though May passed without a single post, we want to start over by remembering that that month we celebrated R's birthday, who received gifts inspired by the Lord of the Rings.

    The first was given to him by D (who deserves credit for the idea) and her mother G: a fantastic mug in the shape of Gollum's head!

    This gift was much appreciated above all for the pleasant experience lived by R, that is to have his breakfast in the head of the disturbing being. As R can confirm, spooning porridge or cereal from Gollum's skull is an impressive practice... and it adds extra flavor to what you eat.

    The details of the mug are very refined: the pimples and warts are highlighted and protruding at the right point, the wrinkles shape the face with a suspicious expression, the fangs are sharp, the eyes are large, just like in the film.

Consequently, R's parents decided to combine it as a gift with a precious accessory dish equipped with nothing less than the One Ring.

Here is finally the set arranged on the table for an Italian-style breakfast ...

    Ci rifacciamo vivi dopo un periodo di intenso lavoro per R, che non ha lasciato un minuto libero per il nostro hobby. Anche se maggio è trascorso senza neanche un post, vogliamo ricominciare ricordando che in questo mese abbiamo festeggiato il compleanno di R, che ha ricevuto regali ispirati al Signore degli Anelli.

    Il primo gli è stato regalato da D (alla quale va il merito dell'idea) e da sua madre G: una fantastica tazza a forma di testa di Gollum!

    Questo regalo è stato molto apprezzato soprattutto per la gradevole esperienza vissuta da R, cioè consumare la sua colazione nella testa dell'inquietante essere. Come R può confermare, pescare il porridge o i cereali con il cucchiaio dal cranio di Gollum è una pratica impressionante...e dà un sapore in più a ciò che mangi. 

    I dettagli della tazza sono molto rifiniti: i brufoli e le verruche sono evidenziate e sporgenti al punto giusto, le rughe modellano il viso con un'espressione sospettosa, le zanne sono acuminate, gli occhi sono grandi, proprio come nel film.

    Di conseguenza i genitori di R hanno deciso di abbinare ad essa come regalo un prezioso piattino munito niente di meno che dell'Unico Anello.

Ecco finalmente il set disposto sul tavolo per una colazione in stile italiano...

(da notare la forma non casuale del biscotto!)
